ABOUT US

Co-Founder, Senior Pastor

Wes grew up in church,  however Jesus didn’t become “real” in his life until he was 24, when after hitting rock bottom through a series of ups, downs, and failures, he rededicated his life to Jesus and made the commitment to follow Him for the rest of his life.   He had a distinguished 12 year military career in the U.S. Air Force as a flight medic, and during his second and last tour in Afghanistan in 2015, the Lord began to work  in and through him as he began to lead bible studies during his off time with several others in his unit.   From there, he continued leading bible studies after returning home, and eventually moved to Anderson SC where he was brought on staff at a local church to help build, establish and lead various church programs.   After a period of time, God called him to leave and begin a weekly street ministry involving feeding the homeless and sharing the message and good news of Jesus, which eventually led to Wes becoming the pastor of a local homeless shelter until being called to start Throne Light Ministries in April 2021 with co-founder Grayson McCullough.

Wes is ordained through New Life Bible College out of Cleveland TN,  and continues to enjoy studying God’s word with the passion of teaching the good news of all that Jesus did for us and made available to us through His sacrificial life in our place.

Wes is married to his wife Hailey, and enjoys raising their son Eli, as well as caring for their dog and cat.

Co-Founder, Senior Associate Pastor

Grayson grew up in a small town in the heart of the Bible Belt.  He was raised by two God-fearing parents and gave his life to the Lord at a young age.  At the age of 11, after his father’s sudden death, Grayson felt God call him into ministry, and from that point the Lord started giving him great success using his gift of preaching.  He started a youth group that quickly grew to 80 followers and found favor in the local churches.  He did all this using his gifting but with little character.  He found himself slipping back and forth into sin and living a hypocritical lifestyle.  His prayers went from “God use me” to “I don’t want to live.”  During this transition, he left unanswered a question God had been asking since he was called…”Will you give me your everything?”

Fast Forward to his sophomore year of college where he was at a bible study with 11 other young men.  The message was simple…”Will you say yes to Jesus?”  That night everything changed.  The weight of the Lord fell on Grayson and those young men.  One by one, each of them gave a fearful “yes” to God.  Since that moment, Grayson has been pursuing Jesus with an open heart and a God-fearing “yes.”

Grayson is pursuing a Bachelors degree from Liberty University in interdisciplinary studies with a focus on Christian Studies and Business.  He was an interim youth pastor at Truth Tabernacle Baptist Church in Iva SC, and now co-pastors Throne Light Ministries with Pastor Wes Pinner.   He has a desire to love God, and wants to help people experience Jesus for themselves, encouraging them to have a deep personal relationship with Jesus,  Holy Spirit, and Yahweh.

Grayson is happily married to his wife Scottlyn.

Youth Pastor

Heather grew up as the typical hometown girl.  After high school, she pursued a career that was all about her and had little to do with her ambitions of chasing after Jesus.   At the age of 23, God gave her a “burning bush” divine encounter in the middle of her chaos that changed the trajectory of her life forever.   From that moment, God called her into youth ministry, and though the avenues have changed the goal of her life remains the same, which is to present Christ to young people and to see their lives forever changed with the truth of His word and by the power of and relationship with His Holy Spirit.

Heather has since worked with youth for 26 years in the church. She has taught high school and middle school for seven years and is currently a counselor for an elementary school.  She has her bachelors in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in youth and congregational leadership (worship),  and she also holds a Masters degree in School Counseling.

Heather’s heart is to help people find Jesus, and states “If you are looking for a group to be apart of, to feel that you belong, I pray that Jesus will lead you here!”
